WE SUSPECTED we were paying well over the odds for phone calls and internet connections. But a new study shows just how breathtakingly expensive these charges are in SA. And what’s particularly frightening is that by far the most expensive services are those that are most essential if SA is to compete on world markets.

I think they have hit the nail on the head...

"Telkom, clearly, is taking advantage of its monopoly in the market to maximise prices and profits. Crudely put, it is profiteering. And, arguably, who can blame it? Shareholders are enjoying the rich benefits. It’s government that has allowed the problem to persist by its hamfisted approach to the telecoms market."

It is government that has caused the problem, not Telkom. And essentially the government can't be trusted to act for the common good. The ANC only really differs from Zanu PF in timing and circumstance.

It'll say the same old bullsh~t we are so used to hearing. Lather, rinse, repeat...

Maybe so, but there's no doubt a momentum is building, the articles in good publications are coming hard and fast.
I wonder if our government reads the odd article?
