How much bandwidth on average would 1 minute's worth of conversation typically use?

@Easy Talk - 32 of your 33 posts are a plug for one of your products or another.

Maybe you should consider taking out some banner ads if you havent done so already.

This forum provides an open platform for various topics. I am afraid, not everyone comes to this forum is as well- informed as you guys. I am sharing the product information and providing prompt support to the readers who are in need. They have more to gain by reading my posts , than your critism and complaint against others.

Well Jongi got his answer and the more answers we have the better.

Would be useless asking a question about phone calls and getting a Telkom rep answering the question and us saying 'sod off you're advertising' :)

I think Easy Talk should be banned... maby someone should tell a mod about this.
A little drastic - perhaps some gentile persuasion to abide by the rules
Advertising - ie banners - are what pay the bills.

I managed to get the USB thingy I got from digital planet working in Linux.

Strange, there was a post in between my two that was deleted which actually answered the 1st question.

That was mine yes.

using 3G HSDPA

With 3G HSDPA I used almost 500k per minute (up and down). I think the wider ur pipe to the internet, the more skype will use

Why was it deleted?
Because I was in a bit of a mood at the time, and thought that even a small acknowledgement that an answer was given would have been easy to do but the next post was just another question. Even an 'oh, ok poepol' would have led to me elaborating and supplying more info, and providing a couple of links.

Kinda like someone looking at you and asking you a question, you go to the trouble of answering it as best you can, then they look away and ask someone else something else.

A little bit of gratitude never hurts.

Thanks for clearing it up :D

I've always taken the viewpoint that when you answer someone's question on a forum that they are by default thankful that you did. Otherwise i would have had to delete numerous posts answering questions.

Which is also a bit counterproductive seeing as I would have deleted the post after said individual had fixed their problem. So in fact it's not punishing the person you want but rather someone else who has the same problem.

Thanks though.
