Hey guys, i just got the latest version of skype off the web, tried it out on my computer which is connected to the internet through virgin's edge internet. It logged on, which is a good sign, but havent made any pc to pc calls yet. I am organising one for this week sunday. Does anyone know how much bandwidth making a call on skype through edge is going to take? lets say, will it be 2mb per minute or something? I have 80bucks on my phone, and i dont want the call to last like 10minutes because then the cost will definitely exceed the benefit.

I have used Skype on VM EDGE and there is a huge delay between transmits. You almost have to use it like a 2 way radio and say over after every sentance. There is a 3-4 second delay.

I was cut off every 2 minutes or so. I was very frustrating.

Let me know how the session went.

So many people have this problem with constant 2minute cut offs during skyping? i honestly didnt know, guess i will have to try tomorrow to found out. So far virgins edge has really impressed me. my downloads goes so fast.

I just had my skype call. i didnt have the constant cut offs, but had a different problem. The other person can not hear me, my voice was always breaking up on her side, but on my side, it was crystal clear, could hear everything. Any ideas on why that would happen? Does virgins edge have a slow upload speed for example?
