ADSL is a technology and cannot block downloads just like that. Did you try clearing your cache/cookies/etc yet? What is the exact URL you are using to download from? Was it this one? http://download.skype.com/partner/trackable259/SkypeSetupFull.exe

get FDM (www.freedownloadmanager.org) that way it would resume your download. And no, not aware of any adsl service provider blocking skype. probably just a timeout between you terminal and the server that caused the issue...a download accelerator should solve that ;)

I also had some issues trying to download skype last night, this was on 3g. So I suspect it might be an issue with the skype website.

To download - I followed the link from www.skype.com.

If I try to open your link - my browser - both IE and Fireofx shuts down. I installed Windows Oncecare which found trojans etc - and cleaned then checked again - no viruses. What else could be causing this?
