Loaded your app to check my data balances and see that Skype has chewed 23% of my data ?????Screenshot_2022-10-21-06-30-49-34_af9d9e12d6c18af05fb473f751e9af84.jpg

Teams was the same.
Even with wifi at home and work where I spend 90% of my time, Teams was chewing through mobile data without any use.

Removed from my phone and back to averaging 200MB a month.

This is like the old day "OMG, Vodacom stole all my data, thieves!!!11!"

Meanwhile Karen had set up for all her pictures to back up onto Google Drive (or sync from it if new phone) and that's what ate all the data. nothing to do with Vodacom.

Disable Skype until you actually use it.
Then disable it after you finished.

When your phone loads Skype after starting and connecting to servers could easily use a few mb. Those stats are for last 30 days anyway(avg of 5mb a day, hardly "usage" per se)

Thanks, I have no Skype loaded, nor have I used it for 15 years. That sim is password locked ?
Where to from here ?

Wait, so you don't even have Skype installed? You should really have said that in the first post. So what does your phone say your data was used by?

Is that the VC app or phone data usage record?

Where's WhatsApp? Maybe it's lumping your VOIP apps under Skype?

I do not have Skype installed, and neither my VC app or phone usage data lists Skype anywhere(WiFi or mobile data usage). I use WhatsApp for voice calls (VOIP) primarily.

Why the OP is getting Skype listed, although he says he doesn't have it installed is beyond me.
Unless it's an issue with their particular phone software...

In Android data management, you can click through to the app and manage data usage per app and per connection type. IE, block mobile but allow WiFi.

Block Skype/whatever's being identified as Skype for all connections and see what stops working?
