Skype on Edge

Anyone used skype on one of the imates with edge? I would be interested to know how the quality is? or maybe someone has used skype with an edge connection on their lap top?

Skype needs around 5-8kb per sec up, and 5-8kb per sec down.

So thats a bandwidth ratio of 10-16kb per sec.

Although Edge could do those speeds, it is still wireless. And it must maintain the download/upload ratio to keep the call running.

Calls drop once the ratio drops. (delay / lagg)

I've used it, it's pretty good no break up in your voice communication

Ive tried to following both using edge

Imate - not good at all, i think it does not have enough processing power
Laptop - worked fine, no problems at all.
