Are you actively monitoring and blocking skype calls on your network?

I phoned a friend via skype (he is on iburst) and the call lasted for about 10 minutes after it was dropped. Any further attempt to connect to him was fruitless, not even the chat function worked. I can see he is online, but I can't talk or chat to him. Disconnecting/Connecting to the internet does not resove the issue, it seems that there is a firewall somewhere that is blocking the traffic.

Anyone else having the same experience on MTN network?

Last question, If you connect using a PAYG card in your fastlink data card, how do they authenticate you on the network, is there anyway they can tell who is logged on?

Good day,

Gimli

No we don't block Skype calls, theoretically yes if you are being authenticated then there would be a way to tell that you're logged in
