Skype vs Google Talk.

After last night I have come to the conclusion that:

Skype uses 60 MB per Hr. and Google Talk uses 25 MB per Hr.
This is with 4 chicks talking simultaniusly as they are known to do. No Webcam.

Just a thought.

Haven't used GTalk's video app, but the call quality to the UK was much better on Gtalk than Skype, no lag.

Yeah Skype's interface is its downfall. Gtalk have kept it nice and simple.

Are skype and gtalk compatable? Ie, f my contacts are signed into skype can I see them if signed onto gtalk?

I use GTalk to chat to my dad in Tanzania and the quality (lag, jitter, echo) is much better than the commercial service he normally uses. I never could get a quality connection with Skype and if by some miracle it worked the connection would drop after 5min
