Has anybody managed to have a decent Skype voice chat with ADSL during office hours?

No!

I have tried it a few times and when it works it is very good, (better than Yahoo chat) but too much of what I and the other person says is lost. I have tried it after 7pm SA time and it is not much better.

yeah we have.

We have ADSL in our office in East London, and one in JHB.

works fine
