I cannot log in for a while now, anyone else have this problem? I thought they would have this sorted by May, but obviously this isnt important to WBS, maybe the next thing is "sorry we only offer VOIP on our 9 gig package".................................

Ya is gonna happen guaranteed he he he !! service is really *** = if this carries on , everyone will be cancelling their contracts

I haven't had any problems with skype. Its actually been suprisingly good for a wireless service. Even when I was capped I used it with no problems.

Yup skype is the reason i got this connection and i have not been able to use it for max 5 days in the last 4 months. Otherwise quality at least equal or better than skype on isdn.

I think skype is somewhat affected by the number of users online in a destination. Skype uses p2p for routing the calls so sometimes it messes up and routes via Australia when you're calling Europe and so on. Its funny but calling Europe is usually much better quality than calling around the corner in SA. I think its because of not so many skype users here in SA (or perhaps Telkom's shenanigans).

If WBS does for some reason stop skype from working properly than can expect a definite cancellation from me. (A wonder if they still take us seriously when we threaten to cancel ;))

I am on the Centurion Tower, and use it for conference calls almost daily ... no problems whatsoever. Even dialling a cellphone in SA works like a charm

Well sandton cannot connect to skype, I am not the only one with this problem on my tower so I dont know why?

Ok, please use the following thread to report specific protocol/service problems:

Latency

Not sure if the guys that are having problems have checked the current latency on your connections, as this is most critical for Skype to function correctly.
