Hi Guys , I just finished Dragon age/ awakenings/ DA2 and got bitten quite hard by the RPG bug.
Then tried Oblivion in the hope that I am gonna follow it up with Skyrim.
But I must say I can't really get into ES Oblivion.
How is Skyrim compared to Oblivion. Or is there something closer to Dragon age besides Dark souls. Thanks

Morrowind, if you want to play the best Elder Scrolls game ever created.

If you couldn't get into Oblivion you likely won't enjoy Skyrim either, and Morrowind will probably frustrate you to no end. Perhaps Bethesda RPGs just aren't for you.

I haven't finished Oblivion, just didn't have the time required to invest in it. DA and DA:O were cool, their length was just about right. DA2 was cool too, but not as good as the original.

If you're into RPGs then have a go at the Mass Effect series, blows DA away IMO. It's just more epic in scale, while being about the same length. The original ME1 is more RPG and part-shooter. ME2 was more action packed, a bit less RPG, but the best of the series IMO in terms of the story. ME3 is a good mix of both.

There is another game called two worlds and two worlds 2. Its the same engine as oblivion and very similar gameplay. Not as well known but very good. With oblivion ure baddies get stronger as u level up. And with two worlds well better run because u might be a level 2 and they a level 26 hehe. I enjoyed that, was great.

If u have an ipad or iphone look at the game called Aralon. Its similar to oblivion but a tad smaller scale. Yet also very nice and playable. Similar 3d world. I likes that.

+ lots and lots for the Mass Effect trilogy. As far as narrative goes probably the best gaming's offered up in a decade.

Not that it matters much, but it isn't.

Thanks for the responses, I think I will give the ME trilogy a go.

Glad to see I am not the only one to find Oblivion tedious .
