Skyworth dstv now problem

I am trying to help someone with this issue. The person has fibre in their home with wifi. They have a Skyworth tv (android) connected to the internet and all is working except for the dstv now app on the tv.

The dstv now app can open and play whatever is there but the problem is that the library does not update to the latest shows, movies etc. When you use your phone on the same internet line, same dstv now profile everything works as it should but just not on the tv.

I have done the following;
Re installed the dstv now app
Cleared the cache of the app
Updated the tv to the latest version

None of this worked and I am out of options. Its just the same couple of things to choose from on the tv.

Anyone have suggestions?

Do you have access to another DSTV Now account? I know it's weird, but one of the accounts that I use only has a few shows under CatchUp.

@The_Mowgs a friend have 2 of those Skyworth tv's, i'll ask him if there's problems with dstv now.
I know they don't support Netflix, that was his big problem.

Its not just catch up, live shows also have limited shows but when accessing it from a phone (same account) everything is as it should be.

It's the same problem I have with the account I am talking about. Not all content shows up on the TV, but when I use the same account on my phone it shows everything.

The LIT and Ematic are basically the same spec. They have more usb ports than the mi box. They also have a lan port and a standard SPDIF optic audio out port. These will cost extra for adaptors, if required on the mibox.

It's an optional extra. It will also use the only usb port on the box. You therefore need an adaptor that includes lan and usb ports. This makes the mi box more expensive than the other 2, regardless of what current special may be available

Might as well go Ematic? i have to use my lan cable 99% of the time due to a wifi issue anyways, looks like its the only way, i have never seen the LIT interface etc tho so im just going on hear-say

I've been using the lit for more than a year. It works fine. I think that the lit and Ematic are close to identical

Just spoke to him, both tv's works fine with Dstv now
