Help with the signal...
Hey I hope anyone here can give me some help.... The device has been swopped out three times in just one month. The device, when in Bridge mode, connected with a 20 db Yagi or a 24 db Grid. The device just wont pick up any APs.... well not any thats further away than 20 meters....
The antenna is correctly aligned, 'cause scanning with a senao usb 100mw adapter, on the same anntenna + position, and I'm picking up 20+ AP's....
Miro staff from PTA (Where I live), DBN, JHB, and CPT phoned me, trying to sort this thing out, and nothing is phucking workin'..... the cable has been swopped, as well as the antenna's, but then again, how much can go wrong with a antenna?
Then there is the fact that there is visibilty to the tower about 5 km away, with some trees, but like I said before, the 100mw card picked up AP's....
The Tower is using Mikrotik, and scanning for it, reveals a signal of -50db, not too good, but not too bad either. The device only connects to the a AP directly beneath it.... 5 meters.
Any help guys?
