Slow access with WD Mybook external drive.

I have a 2 TB WD Mybook.

If the drive sits for a while, when I try and access it, I have to wait about ten/fifteen seconds.

It's extremely annoying, and I don't know why it does this.

I've checked power saving settings, USB settings, and changed anything that appears to be related, but it's still doing it...

Any ideas?

Could also be that the drives onboard controller spun it down.
