Slow connection on Cool Ideas (Openserve)

Hey Guys

I have a 20/10Mbps from Cool Ideas but my line seems to only have a throughput of 3Mbps at the moment.



This test was done a few minutes ago to their Randburg speedtest node. This is in the Pretoria East area. Does anyone else have the same experience at the moment?

I'm in Fourways on 20/10 and am getting my full line speed.

Are you testing with a cabled device?

A bit late, but I'm also PTA East on OS 100/50. Test was run from Chrome running on a cabled Ubuntu Linux.

Just showing that I'm having no issues.

Bit late, but I've just noticed that I'm getting the same thing. I'm on a 20/20 line in Edenvale and can't get higher than 5mb

Hi

No on wireless but right next to it. many previous tests on wireless I have been getting the full 19Mb down and 18MB up?

I will have to try a wired test tonight when i get home? Are you able to see the speed of the line from your side?

PS did a test again this morning, only get a 7MB down and a 15MB up

The speed of the line doesn't just "change" as DSL did, please test with a cable as wireless is pretty much always the culprit.

As a side note, also just check that there's no MAC/IP limiting set on the router. This has been a cause of slow speeds for a MyBB user in the past.

@PBCool Please see results on cable, very similar speeds. did a multi and single connection.

I logged it and it was on a cabled pc. A whole day without Netflix & co

It's ok again now after a rest by CISP followed by a reset on my side:
Ping: 4ms
Download: 8.71Mbps
Upload: 4.69Mbps
