Slow download speed (Telkom/Mweb)

I have a 1 Mbps line with Telkom and same with Mweb(uncapped)

The last few days my download speed is slow,phoned both Telkom and Mweb...reset port/account and according to telkom the line is working fine.

Using a D-Link 2750u router,did a firmware upgrade today which made no difference to performance

Local: Latency 90ms International: 260ms
Download 321kbps 108kbps
Upload 415kbps 394kbps

Try another ISP like Afrihost. The speed on MWeb has been terrible the last couple of months.

Same here , speeds have been crappy laterly, i have the same router and also on a 1meg line with mweb. Torrents are dead slow ,took me 9 hours to download a 250mb file , and this was at after 10pm till and still not done 7ish this morning

Get a free trial account from Axxess and a few other ISP's. Get those downloads done chop chop till MWEB's speeds get better

Same problem here...and has been since I got the line a month ago
Tried various other ISP's, but no difference. Telkom say its congestion, but that does not help me.
What area you in?

Im in the Vaal triangle (Vanderbijlpark)....just checked speed again,local is around 600kbps download but just around 200kbps int.
Upload speed normal

I just did another speed test, 891 latency, 10kbps download. Yes, no typo, 10kbps.....
so your 600 is brilliant in my world :twisted:

I got a trail account to test out , getting awesome speeds , but when i go back to my mweb.... speed sucks. So it looks like im jumping ship to a new isp
