Friday afternoon my 4Mb ADSL started downloading at extreme low speeds. 5KB/s and lower. After contacting my ISP they told me that they don't have any problems and that I should phone Telkom. I did just that and requested they reset the ports, etc. This didn't work so they escelated the problem. The following morning Telkom phoned me and asked if the problem was resolved. I checked my download speeds and everything was back to normal. But at 17:00 today my speeds again went down to 5KB/s and lower. I checked another ISP account I have and the problem was still there, so not an ISP issue. Phoned Telkom and they say they can't see anything wrong on their side. This is the first time this ever happend in the 5 years I had ADSL. Anyone know of any problems in the Vanderbijlpark area, or anyone having the same issues here?

My connection was sporadic during the weekend, also had telkom reset ports etc.
Then conctacted SAOL and they checked their side and said Telkom was having issues, checked this morning and everything's 100% again.

This morning my internet was fine again and at about 18:00 it went down to 6KB/s. Did a ping to www.mweb.co.za this morning and no problems. Tried it now and I'm getting alot of request timed out. Would seem that there is contention problems on the line. What do I tell Telkom to do about this, or should I just hope that they figure it out eventually?
