Slow Huawei B315 Router

I have a Huawei B315 router but the slow up/down speed is driving me crazy so I want to upgrade. I have seen quite a lot of negative comment about the lack of speed of the B315 - how does the B618 stack up? I rarely have more than 3 devices connected so I don't need much connectivity, I just want good speed. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
 
Make sure nobody at home is using the internet, then open your browser and go to speedtest.net. Once loaded click the GO button. Post your speeds here.
 
On which network are you? I dont think its the router that is the issue.

What is your signal strength like? Have you tried to move the router around a bit?

Which sim card is in the router?

I have a B315s-936 and would not swap it for anything.
I've tested the B618 and the B525, where the B525 was about the same and the B618 was about 20% better.
 
Slow speed sometimes shows firewall filtering especially if you are behind a company network.

Upload speed 2.77Mbps, download speed 4.05Mbps.

Some organizations implement block on certain kind of websites

. For example, if the employees starts downloading from Youtube, it will have huge impact on the total bandwidth.

So they block youtube in their network. Some tricks are there to open banned websites on a network.

What is the actual speed promised by your service provider?

It’s definitely a signal issue. I have a b315 router and I’m getting 70-90 download speeds. You must try and find out what your dbm signal is the lower the better so maybe 60-70. The best thing to get is a booster which goes on your roof,Your ISP will set it up pointing to the nearest tower and you’ll be 100%
