Tested both my Afrihost and Axxess Lite accounts (4Mb line) - very slow on both accounts for international.

I am running at max 37-39KB/s mweb uncapped 384k consumer. Yeah so no problems.

You should almost every month experience slow internet connectivity at the end of the month due to the banks and companies running payrole runs and shifting lots of data for their books everywhere they need it. Some of the more fortunate people that is connected to exchanges where there is ample bandwidth available should not realy be effected but they are most proably in the minority.

With Axxess and I get 120KB/s on 4mb line. Usually I get 400kb/s

Got an email from Openweb (of whom I haven't been a customer for years)

Hey Friends,

Just a quick note to let you know that there is currently an international network fault causing slower speeds for all ADSL users.

International engineers are attending. It has not been revealed to us yet the exact cause of the problem. We have however been informed that the problem is being addressed.

Vitals:

ETA: 4 hours
Cause: Unknown at present
Whom is experiencing a problem: All ADSL users trying to access international content.

We would like to apologize for the inconvenience caused. If we could get some donations, we would like to install our own undersea cables. (Just kidding Good idea though!!)

I love them, always getting these notifications...pretty useful to have an excuse when customers are complaining....can tell them there is possibly something wrong.

I have 512 MWEB uncapped and get Speedtest .41mb/s download; .21 upload - want to know if this is good average or sucks
Any feedback would be appreciated
