Found this & it worked!!!!

I'm however running VMware fusion 4 not parallels & so i wasnt sure which "com.Apple" files to delete,
so all I did was delete it using "app cleaner"
which deleted ALL the files including the .com.apple files your supposed to look for etc which are related to the problem & left it in the trash.
Then I shut down & restarted a few times to see if it was the cause.
And it was
So I cleared my trash & reinstalled VMware fusion.
Problem solved. Shut down in 3 seconds
