I'm experiencing really slow speeds at the moment. Anyone else?

hey, nope my speeds have been good all day, in fact i've been cruising at 15K/sec since sentech experienced that slow down a couple of weeks ago so no complaints.

Firstly, I'd like to take the opportunity to welcome everyone back. Now that things are slow again and with the ITWeb article, forum traffic should pick up to its normal levels.

See this image to see what slow speed means: http://sum1.gotdns.com/images/slow.jpg
It will take a while to load for obvious reasons. I changed nothing.. after running pretty much like the initial part for days now suddenly it drops off to the all familiar speeds. Im only using emule and there are definitely enough sources.

right. i wanted to type that *blush* it will be edited

I have since realised that it was an international traffic problem and since then things have improved back to normal. Its just when you see that - you panic (every miywireless user knows the feeling) okay maybe not panic but you get a little annoyed all over again..

Pretty fast sorting out by sentech good job

Uhm.. the international problem today (AFAIK) was mainly DNS hassles from Akamai and DDOS on Akamai network ... so no fix from Sentech on that one ...

If you are referring to Sentech's fix of the bandwidth problems - then I'm rather not going to comment ;-)

there was a definite drop in international bandwidth for about an hour or so but it was fixed (undoubtedly NOT by Sentech but probably IS and Telkom further upstream)
