What ISP and what account by that ISP do you have?

Also what time of day did you test?

Also does that torrent have lots of seeds?

I'm on a Telkom 2meg line, my download speed is only 1 kilobyte per sec from torrent sites. I've decided to connect my VC modem, and downloaded the same 64MB file at between 300 and 500 kilobytes per sec.:confused:
If i download a video from youtube with Telkom, it runs at 200 kilobytes per sec.
What could be the reason for this, sum1 please advise.

Is the Telkom account an uncapped account? If so I would read up on traffic shaping.

Judging by the other active threads today I would say The Diwali fireworks produced an EMP pulse that fried your router, best buy a new one... Maybe even two or three just in case.

ISP's shape internet traffic - especially P2P.

Is your account shaped or unshaped?
