Does anyone else notice how painfully slow youtube is during the day?

I am currently getting 12KB/s on a 4mb line with a telkom internet account. IS is no better - maybe even worse.

Anyone else experiencing anything like this?

Yup, Its getting worse each day.
Seems there is more and more shaping going on during the day, Im thinking more people should work during the day and stop watching youtube videos!!!!

Everything for me is slow during the day, after hours it flies. I usually switch to an unshaped account during the day but that of course defeats the purpose because it's so much more expensive. You can't complain to the ISP's because all they tell you is Telkom provides a 'best effort' service, it's never guaranteed.

been like that for the last coouple of days...

Since around the 14, there has been problem with the barrack street core router links going down....
and then also the links between london - belville and then also Bellville - Ashburn link be down. out thous 3 too of them are international links..
could explain a little mayb!!

How it is currently makes it pointless to pay all the money for ADSL when its hardly faster than dialup.

You tube was the same for me, single threads getting around 10Kb Used to have good speeds...
