Just a heads up to customers and potential clients that Web Africa is experiencing huge volumes of support with the 1 November stuff. (more than 3-4 x the average load). As a result average support and sales times have increased.

We are aware of the situation and working around the clock to bring it under control.

I feel for ya WA... this whole November thing is really straining support all over.

I sincerely hope that your web hosting business is not suffering because of the increase in ADSL support queries.

I'm looking at dedicated hosting for two websites (local + int.) with you guys beginning November, but may go somewhere else if support is not up to par.

Dedicated servers are generally low support and get highest priority. You will never have to wait if you call us and need to reboot server / swap hardware etc. (although comes with remote reboot). The escalation channels are still definately in place.

Its just temporary as well, don't want to alarm. We are training up additional support staff and sales staff as well.

Your support has always been good, I am still undecided on resigning ......

Agreed MyDraadloos. Difficult choice between staying with Web Africa with known excellent support and pending possibly successful legal actions against Telkom and going for a less expensive account with SAOL. I keep changing my minds on what to do ...
