Hi all,

Is it just me but why does gautrain slow to a crawl just before getting to sandton?

I've noticed many times it slows down to change tracks, but this is before that even

Is there leaks in the tunnels or something blocking the tunnels?

I remember it going almost full speed till sandton, lately slowing down for something I'm not sure of....

I use the train everyday and noticed that this has happened more often in the last two weeks or so. Came to a complete stop the other day in the tunnel coming from Marlboro station.

Very strange, did it the other day as well
Nobody seems to know why......

Could it be its slowing down to change tracks?

Probably because the tunnel only has a single track. They have to slowdown to allow the train in the tunnel to exit first.

What are you talking about? It's single from Rosebank to Park only, there's 4 tracks at Sandton...

It's just to keep to schedule if they went a bit too fast elsewhere or if there's a signal telling them to stop for about 1000 reasons
