Slowing down the mind

During the summer break I've partaken in some herbal relaxant and my god. it was amazing.
x2 speed is my usual brain level yet on those nights I got back to x1.

Took everything in.

Was more eloquent and charming.
Found answers to solutions that had always been alarming.
Found peace.
How I crave the same release.
...without the herbs.
Help !
 
Exposure to nature does it for me. Go for a long hike. Sit out in the sun. Switch off devices. Eventually your mind enters a state of quietened receptivity. It's hugely calming and necessary on occasion.
