I have a 4mb line which has been pretty good for a few years now. Last week I noticed things had slowed down a bit. International is worse than local. Browsing seems sluggish. Downloads (Http, news servers & P2P) don't go above 300kBps (used to get 400 consistently). Line stats seem fine:
SNR Margin (dB): 233 D 270 U
Attenuation (dB): 60 D 65 U
HEC Errors: 0 0
OCD Errors: 0 0
LCD Errors: 0 0
I thought it might be VOX related, but after some speedtests I don't think it is:
Vox - local - 3.44 D 0.41 U - Southampton - 2.74 D 0.41 U
Afrihost Prepaid - local - 3.36 D 0.40 U - Southampton - 2.36 D 0.41 U
WA 1gb - local - 3.26 D 0.42 U - Southampton - 2.79 D 0.41 U
Anyone have any ideas on what could cause this? Something I should contact Telkom about?
