Hi guys,

I recently installed a 4890, and ever since then when i boot windows it says its found a new PCI device, but it cant find any drivers to install for it. now under my device manager it says under other devices "sm bus controller" with a big yellow ? saying no drivers r installed.

my gfx card is installed and all the drivers for it, so what the hell does this thing want??

sm bus is the System Management Bus and it is used for monitoring voltages and temperatures amongst other things. What chipset do you have on your motherboard? Just install the latest drivers for it and that should solve the problem.

chipset meaning reinstall the drivers for the motherboard?

tnx for ur responses guys!

Ja, but perhaps get the latest ones first. If you are running an AMD board then you get the chipset drivers along with the gfx ones at game.amd.com
