I have helped a friend of mine start a small business.
He is a driving instructor and has just started his own driving school.

My questions:
Regarding the whole change in the business thing, is a CC still the best way to go?
He has a business account as a sole proprietor, is that ok for him to start?

Its obviously a cash business and he is quite a young guy, I'm a bit worried about his cash management.
Although he would be ok with it, I dont want to manage his finances for him. While I am trying to mentor him this, the last thing I want to be is his boss.
Any suggestions on how whe can put tight control on his cash while still covering his business expenses like fuel ect and also without me having to be on his back?

I'm a bit of a control freak sometimes, and he has already said he wouldn't mind if I treated him like an employee but thats not a good option.

My two main goals here are to make his business a successful one and also for him to run it successfully himself.

Go for it. Help him a while, be a good mentor without being too bossy (it is possible), let him do the job a while and you supervising the whole business. After a while he will catch on and if you are a good mentor, he and his business will be successful. We all need somebody to look up to. Good luck, such things make one feel good about yourself, being worth something to another human being.
