Small group wanting to play some games together.

What games are great to play? Looking at Left4Dead 2, some warcraft 3 custom maps and some COD.

What games can 3 or 4 people play co-op? And how are the starcraft 2 custom maps?

Borderlands is quite fun 4 player co-op.you can also do some 2v2 dota if you are 4 players.

Gears of War for the PC is pretty buggy from what I've heard.

Yeah, I could dota and I also plan to try the HoN UB LAN.

Any other games to recommend? What about Starcraft custom maps?

Soldat (http://soldat.pl/) is a lightweight game that is a lot of fun at LANs. It's 2D and simple, and a whole lot of fun!

GTA 4 is another one that is helluva fun. The greatest thing about it is the lack of seriousness and how customizable MP is (free-for-all, deathmatch, free roam, pedestrians etc)

I remember a small lan where at 10ish in the evening we decided to play the Imagica RPG warcraft 3 custom map. 8 hours later someone looked up and was shocked to see the sun had risen. Couldn't believe we had spent that much time such a silly map! :erm:
