I spoke to Smart Villages today and it seems that they can provide their services over the Mtn FTTH network.

The pricing isn't bad it's R899 pm for 20Mbps (with a free R2000 takealot voucher), R1099 pm for 50Mbps (with a free R3000 takealot voucher) and R1599 pm for 100Mbps (first 100 customers get a PS4 the rest get a free R4000 takealot voucher) . The only problem is these are on 12 month contracts and I was told that a 50Mbps line on month to month would cost R1599. All prices include uncapped data but I'm not sure of their fair usage policy.

Has anyone used Smart Villages? Are they any good?

I would avoid smart village at all costs , speaking from personal experience. The worst "service" if you can call it that and completely incompetent.

It's a pity because at the moment they are the only other ISP on the Mtn FTTH network and the only one that can provide uncapped internet.

I've been with Smart Village for just under a year. Haven't had a days problem.

I've got a 10mb uncapped line and haven't had any issues with fair usage.
