SmartDNSProxy and F1TV

I use SmartDNSProxy on my Apple TV but it's really messing things up for F1TV. With the DNS on, the stream is poor quality. With it off it's perfect. I assume this is a CDN issue.

I cant seem to find a way to contact them. Anyone know?

@backetreetboy I'm guessing this is where controld is superior. I could theoretically select a different location for F1TV?

Not familiar with how it works via Apple TV - why do you need a proxy for F1TV?

You don't, you need it for other things and enabling it breaks the F1TV stream. But it looks like Control D allows you to bypass smart dns for F1TV so I think I'm settled with that now. All working fine.

SmartDNS bypasses their filtering for everything they don't support such as F1TV so it's curious that it would be having a negative effect. Same applies for Getflix obviously.

Yes any URL you can bypass or redirect.

Unfortunately the Control D honeymoon lasted a day. It just flakes out too often. It works, then it doesn't. At first I thought it was my connection, but as soon as I remove the profile from the AppleTV box and go back to smartDNSproxy, it all works again. A pity I had to pay for a month sub to test but it is only R80. SmartDNS proxy is also way simpler. I want to use Control D but it's just not working for me.

Local server was down but they fixed it.
 
I also had issues with Control D. I use GetFlix and it works just fine with F1TV most of the time.

Yes I suspect it'll do just as well as SmartDNSProzy. I think the only diffs for me is the spread of channels differs slightly and SmartDNSProxy suits my needs better. Both superb services.

Thanks for responding. Control D is a security and productivity platform, not a geo-unblocking service as we don't mention this feature anywhere on our website and offer it on a best effort basis only.

Every now and again there's a Getflix lifetime key on stacksocial for cheap. It just doesn't work with Netflix. ControlD works fine for me but I don't use it for region locked streaming that much.
