Has anybody knowledge of the SMC7003 ADSL USB Modem to get it connected as PPPoE If I set it up the screen shows a username
password but an additional telnumber the data led shows connected
but I can't connect. The model is SMC7003-USB EU, purchased locally since SMC has 3 SMC7003 type ADSL Modems. The support of SMC never
answered my questions.

did you download the european drivers from www.smc-europe.com? some versions of the modem came with BT (british telecoms) drivers specific which dont let you configure the drivers for telkoms network, downloading the eu drivers fixes this

Thank's for the reply, I downloaded many drivers since I found it is not an SMC build but Manufactured by Accton, I saw that SMC had been purchased by Accton, so no wonder there is no service. I only want to use it as a spare ADSL Modem since I had many problems in the past
due to lightning. And the Telkom ADSL Pots Marconi modem has only one year guarantee, but I now got a low cost USB Modem from Mustek which is working 100% I will still try the other one supplied by Wavestone who unfortunate don't know how to spell service similar to Sahara
distributers. But I'm using the POTS Telkom Router Modem only as a Modem and have got a SMC Wireless Broadband Router connected, so I can do everything using the Wireless Router at 54Mb works good. Including VPN

I also input a telephone number, it happens to be 000000000, so try that
