Anyone been to smd car auction? Seen/ever bought any cheap car 10-20k? How much were the costs of repairing and other costs like tax and new battery?

Repairs + purchase price can easily escalate to more than retail value if you don't have any experience in this field.

if your prepared and have a good mechanic with you when you check the car,

and its relitivly unknown make, Im sure you can come out on top,

again its all luck.....

And that's the key. It's one of those "Don't try this at home"/"Don't try this alone" kind of things (unless, of course, you are a mechanic).
