Smoothwall LDAP Authentication issues

I recently installed Smoothwall with Advanced Proxy and the URL filter.

Everything works quite nicely except the LDAP Authentication... Following the guide given on http://www.advproxy.net/ldapads.html I managed to get the administrator authenticated. That also works quite nicely.

However I have a separate organizational unit for the rest of the employees and that unit will not authenticate. I assume it does not because the group field is not entered correctly.

Could anyone help me out by any chance?

I have no idea how smoothwall works, but LDAP issues are almost always because you have the group path wrong.
Use something like softterra ldap browser to get the complete path

That gave me the correct string but it will still not authenticate.

In the manual it does mention that it supports different organizational units but I for some reason do not think it does...

I don't know what else there is to do...

I can't have everyone authenticating through the administrator...

The only other option is to create users in the .local user bin directly and then it will authenticate.
