Smoothwall

Just wondering if there are any smoothwall pro's who can help me open ports for bit torrent. I have never used smoothwall and have no clue about it.

Ports a I want to open:
11000 - 11010

I havent used smoothwall in a while - but in IPCOP(based on smoothwall) - u got to the firewall section and then choose port forwarding - then just add the port and protocol you want to redirect - and choose your machines ip address

Add a new rule:
External source IP, or network (blank for "ALL"): blank
Source port or range: 10000:10010
Destination IP: 192.168.1.160
Destination port: 10000 (added this afterwards and seems to of fixed the problem)
TCP/UDP


the only thing in BT it still shows behind a firewall and kind of blocks uploads

ok it has'nt fix the problem for some reason one of the seeders could seed to me at high speeds but not others

Try this mod: [2.0] Full Firewall Control v.1.0.2 - Firewall Access Control [19] .

It allows you much better control over your firewall. Should solve your problem.

its kewl got it working .... my torrent app bittorando was on randomize ... so it randomized the ports, the port range was greater than that of the port range i opened
