Hi

Just about my whole family is on mtn contracts but for some reason my grand mother is having problems sending sms messages(she is not going to extend her contract because of this).

Just 2 days ago I recieved 14 un delivered sms messages from her. Some confused family members she saw 2 months ago also started phoning her asking about these sms messages that they couldn't make any sence of.

Could DR Data or someone from mtn please look into this problem, ive phoned customer /care but they dropped the call after 6 minutes and didn't bother to phone me back.

Not sure which phone your grandma use but on the new type of Nokia phones you would do the following:
Open your Menu, next open Messaging, next click Options, next select Settings, select Text Message, now check your message centre and change to MTN if different
You can also call 173 and select options 2-2-1(message centre number)

Here is the right ansew.
option-messaging-messaging settinn-text messages-
set option like this
delivery report=yes
message centre add mtn and click on mtn,write mtn as name
centre number is +27831000113 and press save
message validity = maximu time
message sent via=text
reply via same centre=no
