Hi Everyone,

I see that if you install bitesms on your phone you need to purchase credits and use their network in order to send messages. Is there any programme like bitesms that can be used where you dont need to purchase credits as I have sms bundles enabled on my contract with my SP.

Thanks
Melanie

If you have an sms bundle then why not use that?

Many students send free SMSs via

http://wap.defza.com/voda/
and
http://wap.defza.com/mtn/

defza doesn't send the SMSs...they just provide a cellphone browser-friendly interface to the SMS sending service that Vodacom/MTN provide on their website (www.vodacom4me.co.za and www.mtn.co.za).

Important: This means that your vodacom4me password goes via the defza site. Vodacom/MTN (rightly) believe that this is a security risk. Many use the defza service and nothing has happened so far that I know of...but its a risk. Also, do NOT use it from a public computer...internet explorer/firefox saves your password in the history...I've had my account hacked like that.

What I am actually looking for is an app that will allow me to delete individual sms's, forward sms's as well as save them.

What phone are you using? I'm going to assume either Nokia or Sony Ericsson (since a majority SA cellphone users that I have seen has one of those brands). Those features are usually standard with the phone, see if you have little squares next to each SMS so that you can check them off like a check box in order to delete them by selecting Delete from one of the dropdown or popup menus. Fowarding is usually found in one of the menus. As far as saving goes, do you mean save it to a file for archiving and transfer?

If you are using a Windows Mobile phone, you can get a ton of really good apps at this link.
