SMS notification LED on mifi router

Hi

I have noticed the SMS notification light does not blink on my mifi router when one (or more) SMS'es have been received.

However, it do go on as a self-test...

Not that I'm complaining though... best that it remain so because all I get via SMS is spam... and a blinkenlight will drive me crazy... especially should I know it is only spam...

Whose is working as intended?

@The_Librarian are you excited about winning the lotto on a regular basis and making new friends from spam networks.

I wouldn't bother about SMS notification light if it blinks or doesn't blink you can always see your SMSs from your dashboard.

/me thinks The_Librarian wants to jump up for joy when the light blinks

I've received a couple of SMS's, the light on my mifi doesn't blink, just goes steady on.

I don't see it, so doesn't bother me. Sim in use for data only so what ever sms it receives will be marketing spam.

Nah, just want to know if this is the default setting... Not worried about SMSes clogging the SIM SMS storage up, it's just interesting.
