SMS notifications

Hi all,

Does anyone know how I can get SMS notifications on the iphone, without jail breaking the phone?

I have looked at some of the apps available but there are numerous comments that it does not work with Vodacom SA

Wait for iOS 5, will offer better notifications like the one found on Cydia.

I know Beta 2 is out - when is release being planned, any ideas?
