has anyone else seen that atm competition on SABC's channels? "Whats another word for money machine"?

If you read the fine print in the top right corner, something about "competition subscription R80"

R80?????????????????????????????????????????

People are really taking advantage with these SMS competitions/subscriptions.. They should be forced to mention the cost to enter in bright flashing red :( not Ariel 4 in the corner of the screen

and on another note, wtf calls an atm a 'money machine' anyway? :)

They use it to track down pirate viewers :D

so if you've send them an sms they can check whether you've got a telly licence or not... :D :D

Keep an eye on the ASASA website and you see a lot of the SABC ads appearing like clockwork. You would think they might have some standards of their own.

Yeah I also saw that SMS advert, frikkin insane. You can bet they don't catch the guys with contracts, they catch all the poor suckers on pay-as-you-go trying to make a quick buck.

SABC is a scam. Don't expect much from them.

I would think it's the other way round. Last time I checked, the majority of all PAYG users buy the smallest airtime windows they can, and do not generally buy anything over 30 bucks. Contract customers, however, use their phones more liberally and in the end will have higher bills.
