currently getting the following error when trying to send an sms

"requested facility not subscribed"

what could cause this

i have a blackberry curve 8520

that sounds like an error you might get using the BBmessage system.

Maybe contact your SP

Is this a recent problem, if so it is possible that the sms service is not enabled for your line. Also if its a corperate handset then with BES its possible to disable the sms feature as well.
So depending on which it is depends on who you call.
