How can I get a IP address, user name, password and Port for a SMSC server from Vodacom, so I caqn sent HTTP SMS?

AFAIK you can't post directly via HTTP.

I used two ways, first would be to go via a provider like Clickatell (www.clickatell.com),

the other way I got it to work (also MMS) was to connect a 3G modem to NowSMS gateway and post it through.

You could also try Kannel on Linux if you are feeling brave....

The SMSC afaik is the number of the sending centre and not a network interface. Another way is the understand the PDU protocol and roll your own. www.dreamfabric.com/sms is a great place to start.

SMSC is a protocol* used to push and pull SMSs to the networks. Its used by WASPS.

A WASP will have its SMSC account with the networks and will often offer a SMSC account to its clients. The accounts are not bridged, just the WASP then acts as a middleman.

* not truly accurate but please accept it in the context of this post.

EDIT: I work for a WASP and my job is to setup SMSC accounts for our clients. He is referring to one of these accounts. Before some smart monkey starts to ramble on about SS7 lines, those are used by networks or virtual networks. SMSC accounts are used by WASPS.
