SMS's from an MTN Number

For the last six to eight weeks I have been battling with sms's on my mtn number (pay as you go, but have had it for four years).

SMS's that I send seem to go through immediately, but SMS's sent to me seem to be taking an inordinately long time to get through. Sometimes 3 to 5 days.

Some examples:

A friend of mine who has been in the UK for four months, arrived back in Africa on Monday and sms'd me to say he was back and wanted to chat. I only got the sms on Thursday.

Saturday two weeks ago another friend who has emigrated to the UK, sms'd a whole lot of us just before he boarded the plane to say goodbye. I only received the sms the following Monday.

My sister sent me an sms to ask me to pick my little niece up from school as she was running late, and I got the sms two days later.

A friend sms'd me a business card yesterday morning and I have just phoned him for the number as I have not yet got the sms.

I though it might have something to do with my handset, so swapped handsets, to no avail.

Nobody else around me seems to be having this problem! Any advice?

I looked at your Post count (post count tends to lend itself to a bit of forum maturity, me excluded ) when i read your topic and wondered why you posted in Offie.

But as you say, 'blonde moment', lol.... we all have those some time or another.
