I get these promotion sms's on my AH sim, doesn't bother me but it seems to happening often. Any known reason why?

That's weird. I don't get anything from AH, via email or SMS? That includes all the bandwidth notifications that I have signed up for

Someone sold your information somewhere along the line or you forgot to tick the box stating that your information should remain private when you signed up for an account somewhere or something like that.

There's some kind of national opt-out service where you can sign up your number so that nobody is allowed to send you unsolicited marketing mail. Can't remember the name of the service now.

That SMS he received made him a billionaire overnight.

The worst part is when someone calls your land line and says they from a collections company. Then I have an attitude and say what is this in connection with then I asked who you looking for. I told her she got the wrong place
