Hi,

Anybody else with SMTP problems today.

I can't send via Iafrica, Telkom or Saix.

My settings seem ok and I don't think all three servers would be down so I can only assume it is an ADSL problem.

Cheers
Chris
Yes, me as well.
Can't send to anybody @ telkomsa.net

I use my ISP pop server for incoming
and smtp.saix.net for outgoing.

Hardly any problems at all.

i couldn't open myadsl.co.za at around 2 pm today.
and after half an hour it's opening at the speed like international capped speed.
btw other local sites seems to be fine.
dunno what's going on here.

I got the following message from the in-office SMTP server trying to connect to the Telkom servers:

Your message could not be delivered due to the following errors

----- The following addresses had delivery problems -----
<valid address>@telkomsa.net

----- Transcript of session follows -----
Connecting to mail.telkomsa.net.
Connected
Connected to [196.25.69.41]
Connecting to mail.cape.intekom.com.
Connection failed

Any hints on how to solve?

Thanks

Same here.

But I think the whole SA internet scene is effected.

A buddy from Holland complaint as well that he has probs accessing SA sites.

Hi Kaspaas,

set your SMTP server address to smtp.saix.net as microfast suggests or to smtp.dsl.telkomsa.net.

I got through on the latter when all the others failed.

Cheers
Chris
