SMTP.SAIX.net cant connect

Hi anybody else having a problem sending mails via smtp.saix.net on adsl connection. Have tried to telnet smtp.saix.net 25 get service unavailable. I can connect to it via my phone on 3G.

^ lol. You can be funny, unless that was an honest mistake DrJohn...

@Greglsh, which ISP are you with, are you sure you should be using that smtp server on your ISP? Unless you are with TelkomSA.

Hi

Yes it is a Telkom adsl account. We tried 2 Telkom adsl accounts with no joy to either smtp.saix.net or smtp.dsl.telkomsa.net. When I use www.mxtoolbox.com and put in the ip we are assigned from Telkom it shows as it is blacklisted on Spamhaus, so I switched router off for about half an hour then reconnected we got a different ip this time and this is also showing as blacklisted. I am not sure if this is the problem or if a large block of telkom adsl ip addresses have been blacklisted. Of course phoning Telkom has not helped what so ever.
 
I really do not know too much about spam and such, although is it not a possibility that it is your actual email or domain which has been blacklisted and not actually saix's SMTP server?
