smtp.saix.net issues?

Hi guys,

A couple of my clients are complaining they're getting "domain not found" replies when sending mail through smtp.saix.net

Does anyone know anything about this? Trying to get any info out of them is a waste of time

see if they can ping smtp.saix.net

Bhey can ping, they get a bounce message back from smtp.saix.net saying the recipient domains aren't found.

But only some domains - not all

are you sure the email addresses that they are trying to send to (recipients) is correct?

That's always a possibility, but my boss got the same issue, and he's smart enough to figure out where the problem is. I haven't gotten one myself - but then I haven't really sent out any mail today.

I'm not getting "domain not found" but got several returned emails containing the following:

Where's da man that knows how to trace email problems?

have been having a lot of problems with emails being returned lately! I have given up with helpdesks, and just send via web now!

if you using adsl - try using smtp.dsl.telkomsa.net - been using it for 21/2 years without any problems

 

[thedoc!]

smtp.saix.net and smtp.dsl.telkomsa.net are the same server.
Both these hostnames resolve to 196.25.240.94
