If anyone uses them as an ISP, could you clarify which (if either) SMTP works (for you):

mail.myisp.co.za , or
smtp.myisp.co.za .

Have tried both, after calling agents a 2nd time, but Outlook Exp. won't SEND e-mails.
Incoming (POP) works 100% on what they gave me : pop.myisp.co.za (POP)

I then spoke to IS, as I thought that as their re-seller (I'm presuming), MyISP's server settings would be listed with them. Agent there gave me their (i.e. IS's) SMTP which is : smtp.isdsl.net . (I wasn't told I could use this, and am not entirely happy about doing so, but this one works 100%, so now send/receive working.)

Am I correct in assuming that mails will reach their destination using any SMTP ?

If so, however, question is until I can get correct / optimal SMTP for MyISP:

Is this a problem using IS's SMTP technically / legally ?
(i.e. my mails will be landing up on servers of a Co. I have no agreement with, but only through a re-seller's affiliation to them)

Obviously want to change this ASAP to correct one.

POP: pop.myisp.co.za, port 110
SMTP: smtp.adsl.myisp.co.za, port 25, no authentication

MyISP's parent company is Interprise. You can use any smtp server you like. You can, for instance, use your gmail smtp server with your myisp account.

Jurras, your reply's like receiving gold & so are the end results.
I did try 'adsl' earlier (the idea of which I got from a Telkom a/c I had), but without the 'smtp' included.
Don't know why their agents are given 2 incorrect SMTPs !? ... but I'll let them know what it is by e-mail.
Thanks so much.
