From my research the hard drive can simply be swapped out with a larger one:
Snap OS FAQ - Pro/Wiki

I have switched it on, and connected to the web service. Both work. I have not tested the drive for fidelity, but it's there and shows files on it. If you're thinking you could make this work with your network, it's yours!

Have since tested drive for fidelity. Many noisy minutes later the software claims it passed. So there's that. You will probably have to clone drive to put in a larger one, seems for the 1100 the hard drive can't just be swapped out.
